In an interview with Business Inside Aussie actor Jai Courtney has confirmed that he is returning for the James Gunn directed sequel to 2016’s financial hit Suicide Squad. This is what he had to say about it –
“We’re getting ready to shoot in a few months’ time. There’s not much else I can reveal about it but, yeah, you’ll be seeing Boomerang back for sure.”
This makes Courtney the second returning actor, after Margot Robbie, for a film that is being referred to as a reboot rather than a sequel by Warner Bros. Will Smith’s role as Deadshot has been recast with Idris Elba taking over. How much of a reimaging this is will become more clear as further castings are announced
James Gunn will direct the film later this year for a 2021 release before moving on to Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3.
