David Dastmalchian has joined James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad according to The Hollywood Report. Their sources are saying he will play the Batman villain Polka-Dot Man. He will be teaming up with the returning Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn) and Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang) plus the recently signed on Idris Elba.
Dastmalchian is probably best known for his role in Marvel’s Ant-Man films but he is no stranger to DC having played one of the Joker’s goons in The Dark Knight. A comic book fan, he has appeared on TV’s The Flash and Gotham. He is also a regular villain on MacGyver.
The Suicide Squad is due for release on 5th August 2021.
