Variety are reporting that Disney+ has offered Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld (‘True Grit’, ‘Bumblebee’) the role of Kate Bishop in their ‘Hawkeye’ series. Jeremy Renner has already signed on to reprise his role as Clint Barton, the original Hawkeye.
In the comics, Kate Bishop is Barton’s protégé who becomes the new Hawkeye. This Marvel Studios limited series is expected to show that passing of the baton.
The series will debut exclusively on Disney+ in 2021.
