Terence Winter, who was signed on to write and showrun ‘Gotham P.D.’, has stepped away from the project due to the dreaded creative differences.
‘Gotham P.D.’, a spinoff from Matt Reeves’ forthcoming ‘The Batman’ film and not to be confused with ‘Gotham’, has been picked up direct-to-series by HBO Max. It is one of a number of DC Comics projects the company has in the works.
Winter is known for his work on high profile shows like ‘The Sopranos’ and Boardwalk Empire’ and this clearly the tone that Reeves is aiming for on ‘Gotham P.D.’. It is unclear how Winters departure will effect series but the various delays ‘The Batman’ has suffered should give HBO Max time to get the project back on track.
