Deadline are reporting that Oscar Isaac will play Solid Snake in Sony’s ‘Metal Gear Solid’ adaptation. Jordan Vogts-Roberts is on board to direct.
The ‘Metal Gear Solid’ game franchise, which is in the spy/action genre, launch in 1996 and has always been praised for it’s cinematic storytelling. It was one of the first games where stealth was more important than shooting.
No production start date has been set but it might be some time before the project goes in front of cameras as Isaac has a very busy schedule including Marvel’s ‘Moon Knight’ series for Disney+. He will next be seen in the new adaptation of ‘Dune’.
