The Hollywood Reporter are claiming to have sources telling them that Alfred Molina is returning as Doctor Octopus in the upcoming ‘Spider-Man’ threequal.
Molina last played the role in the Sam Raimi directed ‘Spider-Man 2’. His return was rumoured last month when the actor was spotted on set. He joins Jamie Foxx who is reprising his role of Electro from ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’. This all but confirms that the new film will be exploring the multiverse as none of these films have been connected before.
Tom Holland stars as Spider-Man again and Sony has set a 17th December 2021 release date. Jon Watts is also returning to direct his third Spider-Man film. Benedict Cumberbatch will co-star in the film as Doctor Strange.
