Ryan Coogler and his production company Proximity Media have signed a five year deal with Disney to develop television content. The first project announced is a series set in Wakanda, the fictional African country from the ‘Black Panther’ films.
Coogler wrote and directed ‘Black Panther’, the most successful solo superhero film of all time, and is currently prepping ‘Black Panther 2’ with the hope of shooting it later in the year.
No details on the project have been announced.
