Following yet another uneducated social media post by Gina Carano, who played Cara Dune in the first two seasons of ‘The Mandalorian’, she will no longer feature on the show or any other upcoming Star Wars projects.
Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future. Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.

She compared the current political divide in America and people’s opinions of some Republicans to the treatment of the Jewish during Nazi Germany and the Holocaust.
The hashtag #FireGinaCarano began to circulate on social media and Lucasfilm acted swiftly. ‘The Mandalorian’ will not be returning to screens for at least a year so there won’t be any impact on production.
