Donald Glover (Atlanta) and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) have signed on to play a pair of warring assassins who also happened to be married in Amazon’s ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’. The two leads will also create the series alongside Francesca Sloane (Altanta).
The series will be a remake of the 2005 film of the same name directed by Doug Liman and starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
Glover and Waller-Bridge previously played an unconventional couple in ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ and have been rumoured for ‘Lando’ on Disney+.
The plan is to release the series in 2022.
