Lucy Liu has signed on to play a villain in the upcoming ‘Shazam!’ sequel.
Liu will play Kalypso, the second daughter of Atlas, one of the Titans of ancient Greece and one of the A’s in Shazam, acronym of ancient gods and heroes.
The character is the sister to Hespera, the villain character that is being played by the already cast Helen Mirren.
David F. Sandberg is returning to direct and Zachary Levi once again stars as Shazam. The film begins filming in May with a 2nd June 2023 release date.
