‘Pet Sematary’ Follow-Up Finds A Director

Lindsey Beer has been picked to direct the next instalment in the ‘Pet Sematary’ franchise based on the book by Stephen King.

This will be Beer’s directorial debut and she is also writing the script based of a draft by Jeff Buhler. No plot details have been released but the franchise is based around ancient burial grounds that can raise the dead. The original film in 1989 spawned one sequel that came out in 1992 and the remake was released in 2019. This film will be made exclusively for the Paramount+ streaming service.

Beer is know for writing ‘Chaos Walking’ and ‘Transformers: The Last Knight’.
