Lucasfilm announced last December that the next Star Wars film would be ‘Rogue Squadron’. Little is known about the film other than it will be directed by Patty Jenkins and the release date is 22nd December 2023.
It is now being reported that the film will be written by Matthew Robinson. Robinson co-wrote and co-directed ‘Invention Of Lying’ in 2009 along side Rick Gervais and most recently wrote ‘Love And Monsters’. He also has written the as yet unfilmed ‘Edge Of Tomorrow’ sequel and an upcoming reboot of ‘Little Shop Of Horrors’.
It is unknown how long Robinson has been working on the project and Lucasfilm have declined to comment.
