J.K. Simmons is set to return as Commissioner James Gordon, a role he first played in ‘Justice League’, in the upcoming HBO Max film ‘Batgirl’.
He will join the recently cast Leslie Grace, who will be taking on the title role, in the Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah directed film.
Simmons casting will cement the film in the ongoing DC films continuity and separate from the ‘The Batman’. Both films will be released next year.
Plot details on the film are under wraps but it will be released exclusively on the HBO Max streaming service.
