It was announced last year that Dominique Thorne had been cast to play Riri Williams/Ironheart in a live action series for Disney+. It has now been announced that she will debut the role in next years ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’.
Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige revealed that Thorne was shooting scene for the Black Panther sequel and this would lead to her solo show.
We’re shooting Black Panther: Wakanda Forever right now, and the character of Riri Williams, you will meet in Black Panther 2 first. She started shooting, I think, this week before her Ironheart series.

‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ will be released on 8th July 2022 and at the moment ‘Ironheart’ is undated.
