The next installment of the Scream franchise has been given a release date by Paramount. The sixth film will be out on 31st March 2023.
Paramount and Spyglass Media had already announced that there would be another film and that the creative team of the 2022 film would be returning with directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, James Vanderbilt & Guy Busick co-writing the screenplay.
While there has been no official announcements about the cast, Courteney Cox has said she’s reprising her role as Gale Weathers. While appearing on the Just For Variety podcast she confirmed that she had received the script.
I got the script yesterday. I haven’t read it yet, I just got it… I’m excited to read it, and I know they’re going to start filming… I think, in June, in Canada. I don’t know if I’m supposed to say anything. Let me tell you the killer!
