Justin Lin, the director of five ‘Fast & Furious’ films, has quit the tenth film just days into production. Lin, who co-wrote the movie’s script with Dan Mazeau, will stay onboard as a producer. Creative differences is being cited as the reason.
An official statement was released via the franchise’s Instagram page.
‘Fast X’ started shooting a week ago with the returning cast of Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang and Charlize Theron. The latest chapter also sees the addition of Michael Rooker, Jason Momoa, Daniela Melchior and Brie Larson.
First unit production on the new film is being paused while the search takes place for a new director but it is thought the 19th May 2023 will remain.
