Kurt Russell and his son, Wyatt, are set to star in Apple TV and Legendary’s Monsterverse series set after the events of 2014’s ‘Godzilla’.
The untitled series will take place during the aftermath of the battle between Godzilla and the Titans that decimated San Francisco and follow a family’s journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organization known as Monarch.
There are no details on their characters but one can assume that they will be playing father and son. They join a cast that includes Anna Sawai, Ren Watabe, Kiersey Clemons, Joe Tippett and Elisa Lasowski.
The series has been created by Chris Black (‘Outcast’, ‘Star Trek: Enterprise’) and Matt Fraction (‘Hawkeye’), with Black acting as showrunner. The first two episodes will be directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision).
No release date has been announced.
