Following that cameo during the end credits of ‘Fast X’, Dwayne Johnson has announced that he will be starring in another ‘Fast & Furious’ film.
It won’t be a ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ sequel, nor will it be ‘Fast X: Part 2’, but rather something akin to a ‘Fast X.5’ and tell a story that bridges the final two films. The film will be written by franchise veteran Chris Morgan, who wrote films 3 through to 8 and ‘Hobbs & Shaw’.
Johnson had previously walked away from the franchise following a falling out with Vin Diesel and vowed never to return after ‘Fate Of The Furious’ but it appears that the pair have now made amends. Diesel won’t be starring in this new untitled film but will be a producer on the project. Other ‘Fast’ franchise stars are expected to appear.
This is most likely the film that Diesel was referring to when he said ‘Fast X’ was becoming three films.
The film is a safe choice for Johnson following a string of critical and commercial failures.
