Disney shuffled some of their release date and announced some new ones today. The big surprise is that Lucasfilm will go from not having released a Star Wars film since 2019 to releasing two films in one year.
The Star Wars film that was dated to release in December 2025 has been moved to 22nd May, 2026. Another film has also been added on 18th December, 2026.
A third film is dated for 17th December 2027 and this remain unchanged.
Three new films were announced at this year’s Star Wars Celebration. One will see Daisy Ridley returning as Rey, a Dave Filoni directed Mandalorian event, and a origins of the Jedi story from James Mangold but there is no indication of which film is attached to which date.
