
Apple TV+ and Legendary Pictures have released the first images from the upcoming series Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters, the next installment in the Monsterverse.
The series will take us back to the time of Godzilla (2014) when kaiju were revealed to the world.

Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking revelation that monsters are real, ‘Monarch: Legacy of Monsters’ tracks two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows. The dramatic saga – spanning three generations – reveals buried secrets and the ways that epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives.

The 10 part series will also feature Anna Sawai, Anders Holm, Ren Watabe, Kiersey Clemons, Joe Tippett, Mari Yamamoto and Elisa Lasowski.

Chris Black co-developed the series with comic book superstar Matt Fraction, whilst Matt Shakman (WandaVision and Marvel’s Fantastic Four) has directes the first two episodes. They executive produce alongside Andy Goddard, Brad Van Arragon, Andrew Colville, Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell.
Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters will be released towards the end of the year.
