The long gestating Lando Disney+ series will now be a theatrically released film.
The news was revealed by Stephen Glover, who will be co-writing the project with brother and Lando actor, Donald. The pair have previously worked together on Atlanta.

Donald Glover first played Lando Calrissian in 2018’s Solo: A Star Wars Story, playing a younger version of Billy Dee Williams classic character. A stand alone Lando project was first announced during a Disney investors presentation in December 2020 but then all went quiet. Justin Simien was attached to writer and direct until the new broke in July that the Glover brothers had taken control.
