Netflix has ordered a sequel to Norwegian kaiju film Troll.
Troll 2 will see director Roar Uthaug (Tomb Raider) reteam with writer Espen Aukan and producers Espen Horn and Kristian Strand Sinkerud. They all worked on the original monster hit that went on to become Netflix’s most watched non-English language film of all time
The first film saw an explosion awaken an ancient troll in the Norwegian mountains, sending him on a destructive rampage as he headed towards Oslo while a fearless palaeontologist embarks on a journey to stop it.
Troll 2 will film next year.
