Marvel Studios has found the creative team that they want to overhaul Daredevil: Born Again. The series had been deep into production when filming was halted due to the Hollywood strike and Marvel executives were unhappy with the assembled footage that they saw. This lead to showrunners Chris Ord and Matt Corman being let go and all remaining director being released from their commitments.

The show will now be overseen by Dario Scardapane, whose recent credits include Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan as well as Netflix’s Marvel show The Punisher. The Punisher span out of the Netflix version of Daredevil and it has been strongly rumoured that Jon Bernthal’s Punisher will be central to the new Daredevil show. Scardapane will rewrite all the remaining episodes of the series and well as restructure the already shot existing episodes and write new scenes that will be incorporated.

Indie directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, who helmed episodes of Moon Knight and the current season of Loki, will now fulfil all remaining directing duties but it is unclear how many episodes that this will be and how much needs reshooting.

Daredevil: Born Again currently does not have a release date.
