Sean Gunn will be joining his brother’s new DC Universe in the role of Maxwell Lord. The character looks set to be a fixture in the DCU but it is unclear whether Gunn will cameo in the James Gunn written and directed Superman: Legacy or just be mentioned.
The Maxwell Lord character is traditionally a business man who funds a version of the Justice League before developing superpowers and becoming a villain obsessed with control. The character was previously played by Pedro Pascal in Wonder Woman 1984.
Lord will be Gunn’s second character in this new universe, have already played Weasel in The Suicide Squad and the upcoming Creature Commandos.
