A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated.

Official synopsis for The Acolyte

What has been unclear is the role that Stenberg will be playing with conflicting reports on whether they are a Jedi or a Sith with showrunner Leslye Headland stating that the show will be focusing on the antagonists.

Now scooper Daniel Richtman may have cleared things up a bit. He is reporting that Stenberg will be playing twins, both of Sith origin, one of which remains with the Sith while the other is taken in and trained by the Jedi.

The plot is said to follow the “evil sister” as she is trained as a Sith assassin and tasked to kill a Jedi master, who is played by Carrie-Anne Moss.

The report also indicates that Manny Jacinto will also be playing two versions of a character, both the good personality and the bad.

Production on the show is rumoured to be complete but so far no release date has been announced for its debut on Disney+.
