Danny Boyle and Alex Garland are finally reteaming for a sequel to their 2002 zombie hit, 28 Days Later. The film will final complete a trilogy that also includes 2007’s 28 Weeks Later, which the pair served as executive producers on, and potentially launch a new trilogy.

Boyle is attached to direct the new film and Garland would write all three if the first one hits. The plan is for each film to have a budget in the $75 million range. The original idea for the film was 28 Months Later but that has now changed to 28 Years Later.
