House Of The Dragon’s Milly Alcock has won the role of Supergirl in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Universe.
A recent round of screen testing saw Alcock beat Emilia Jones (CODA) and Meg Donnelly (Zombies) to the role. It is thought Alcock will make her debut as the character next year in James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy before headlining her own film, Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow, at a later date. The film will be inspired by Tom King’s comic book series of the same name.
Currently there is no director announced for Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow and no set release date. Superman: Legacy is due to commence production later this year and be release in 2025.
