Talks between Universal and David Leitch regarding Leitch taking the reigns of the next Jurassic World film have collapsed and the film is now without a director. The dreaded creative differences are to blame with the two parties not being able to settle on a singular vision for the project.

The project is still moving forward with David Keopp returning to the franchise on scripting duties and Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley producing. Steven Spielberg is also back as executive producer and is said to be more hands on than he has been with recent films in the series.
