Campbell Back For ‘Scream VII’, Williamson Directing

After a series of set backs, it looks like Scream VII is back on track.

Franchise star Neve Campbell has announced, via Instagram, that she will be back after skipping the sixth film due to a pay dispute.

Campbell also announced that the series original writer, Kevin Williamson, is also returning and taking on directing duties. The new film will be written by Guy Busick, who co-wrote 2022’s Scream and Scream VI.

Scream VII had been set to star Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera but Ortega walked away and Barrera was fired. The film’s original director, Christopher Landon, also departed the project.
