Maggie Gyllenhaal has release the first look at The Bride!, her reimagining of Bride Of Frankenstein.
Via Instagram, she posted camera tests for the film which featured shots of Jessie Buckley as the Bride and Christian Bale as the Monster.
The new film moves the action to ’30s Chicago where Dr. Frankenstein seek the aide of a Dr. Euphronius in creating a companion for himself. The two reanimate a murdered young woman and the Bride is born. The film will focus on Buckley’s Bride, who seeks real romance and generates massive social change after she she is brought back to life.
The film will also star Penélope Cruz, Peter Sarsgaard and Annette Bening.
The Bride! has a release date of 3rd October, 2025.
