Beau Willimon will work on the script for James Mangold’s Dawn Of The Jedi film that was announced last year at Star Wars Celebration.
Willimon created Netflix’s House Of Cards but is best known to Star Wars fans for writing the Narkina 5 arc of Andor that received the franchise’s best reviews since The Empire Strikes Back.
The film will be set 25,000 years before the Skywalker saga and explore the origins of the Jedi.
The film looks like it will be Mangold’s next project after he finishes his Bob Dylan biopic with Timothée Chalamet but it doesn’t currently have a release date.
The next Star Wars film will be The Mandalorian & Grogu which will debut on 22nd May, 2026.
