‘The Pope’s Exorcist’ Sequel Gets The Green Light

Producer Jeff Katz has announced, via X, that Russell Crowe is going to jump back onto his Lambretta for a sequel to The Pope’s Exorcist.

The original film, which took inspiration from the files of Father Gabriele Amorth, chief exorcist of the Vatican, was a financial success. From a production budget of $18 million, the Julius Avery directed the film pulled in just under $78 million worldwide.

Crowe expected to reprise his role as Father Gabriele Amorth in the sequel.
