James Gunn has released the first image of David Corenswet as Superman via Instagram.
Corenswet will become the fourth man to play Superman on the big screen, following Christopher Reeve, Brandon Routh, and Henry Cavill, and will do it with the classic look that will see the return of the red trunks.
He will star alongside Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Holt as Lex Luthor, with the rest of the cast including Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen), Sara Sampaio (Eve Teschmacher), Edi Gathegi (Mister Terrific), Terence Rosemore (Otis), Anthony Carrigan (Metamorpho), Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl), Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner), María Gabriela de Faría (The Engineer) and Wendell Pierce (Daily Planet editor Perry White.)
Superman is released on 11th July, 2025.
We Have Issues 
For the cinema especially, in all our best reflections of Christopher Reeve’s signature on the role, casting a new Superman, even with the best reboot premise you could think of, must be quite challenging. It might have been somewhat more flexible with all castings for Batman, Catwoman and Spiderman. But new actors as Superman can always have their most specific fascinations.
