Chris Hemsworth, who is about to be heard as the voice of Optimus Prime in Transformers One, looks set to remain in that world by taking the lead in the Transformers/G.I. Joe crossover event film.
This film was set up by the final scene of last year’s Transformers: Rise Of The Beast, which saw Anthony Ramos’ Noah Diaz invited to join the Joes. That film revitalise the Transformers franchise with a $439 million worldwide take.
The two franchises have been crossing over in comic books since the ’80s and it is said that the film will be based on existing material but no plot details have been announced. There is currently no writer or direct attached to the project and there is no indication of what character Hemsworth would be playing.
