Jonathan Tropper, who wrote Shawn Levy’s The Adam Project, will be scripting the director’s Star Wars film. Levy’s film has been rumoured since the end of 2022 but up until now he has been focusing on the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine.
The Adam Project is probably Tropper’s best known film work but on television he created Banshee and Warrior, and was the showrunner for the Jason Momoa series See.
This untitled Star Wars film is one of a number in development with only Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian & Grogu currently having a release date. That film will be out on 22nd May, 2026, making it the first Star Wars film to hit cinemas in seven years.
