1883 star Isabel May is in talks to join Scream 7 in the key role of Sidney Prescott’s daughter.
Prescott, played by Neve Campbell, was the franchise’s lead character for the first four films. Campbell returned for the fifth film in a supporting role but sat out the sixth due to a pay dispute. When the seventh film lost both Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera, the new leads of the series, the money suddenly became available of Campbell to return.
Scream 7 is being directed by Kevin Williamson, the writer of the first, second, and fourth films, from a script by Guy Busick, who wrote the previous two films.
Scream 7 will be released on 27th February, 2026.
