Robert Downey Jr. isn’t the only departed actor returning to the MCU, with The Wrap reporting that Chris Evans is also set to return in Avengers: Doomsday. The nature of his return has not be revealed.
Evans was a mainstay of the MCU between 2011 and 2019, appearing in a trilogy of Captain American films, four Avengers film, and a number of other cameos.
He also played Johnny Storm in two Fantastic Four films and recently had an extended cameo as the character in Deadpool & Wolverine.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to film early next year and has a release date of 1st May, 2026.
