Community star Joel McHale has joined the cast of the in production Scream 7 as Mark Evans, the husband of the franchises lead character, Sidney Prescot.
Mark Evans is a different character to Mark Kincaid, played by Patrick Dempsey, a cop who Sidney became involved with in Scream 3. It had been assumed that Kincaid was the Mark that it was mentioned that Sidney was married to in previous Scream films but this is no longer the case.
McHale joins a cast that features series regulars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and Mason Gooding, and newcomers Isabel May, Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann, Mckenna Grace, Sam Rechner and Anna Camp.
Kevin Williamson is directing the new film, after having written the first, second, and fourth films, from a script by Guy Busick.
