Daisy Ridley’s ‘Star Wars’ Film Finds A New Writer

The Bourne Ultimatum and Ocean’s 12 writer George Nolfi is the latest writer to be attached to Daisy Ridley’s New Jedi Order Star Wars film.

The film, first announced at Star Wars Celebration Europe in 2023, still has Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy to make here feature directorial debut but has gone through several writers. Damon Lindelof and Justin Britt-Gibson got the ball rolling before moving of the project. They were replaced by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight but he was of the project by the end of last year, most likely to focus on directing the Peaky Blinders film.

The film, that will she Daisy Ridley return as Rey in new story is said to take place 15 years after the events seen in 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker, was due to be the next Star Wars film to go into production but the delays have seen it leapfrogged by The Mandalorian And Grogu.

Nolfi is known for his work with Matt Damon, having worked on the Bourne franchise, Ocean’s 12, and writing and directing The Adjustment Bureau.
