Scott Foley Returning To The ‘Scream’ Franchise

Scott Foley, who was the Ghostface in Scream 3, has joined the cast of Scream 7.

It hasn’t been revealed who Foley is playing in the new film but in the third he portrayed Roman Bridger, a film director and Sidney Prescott’s psychotic half-brother. Bridger was defeated and killed at the end of the film so it’s not clear if Foley is playing the same character.

Scream (2022) and Scream VI (2023) both brought back Skeet Ulrich as Billy Loomis, one of the original Ghostfaces, as a voice in the head of his daughter, Sam Carpenter (Melissa Barrera), so it’s possible they could repeat the same trick with a character in Scream 7. Being the Scream franchise, nothing is of the cards for his return.

Foley is the latest legacy cast member to return, joining Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox as well as Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown. The newcomers are Isabel May, Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann, Mckenna Grace, Sam Rechner, Anna Camp, Joel McHale and Mark Consuelos.

Scream 7 is being directed by Kevin Williamson.
