Netflix are the latest company to attempt to make Dungeons & Dragons popular to the masses by developing a live-actions series.
Shawn Levy (Stranger Things, Deadpool & Wolverine), writer-showrunner Drew Crevello (WeCrashed), working alongside Hasbro Studios, are working on bringing Forgotten Realms, one of the most popular settings in Dungeons & Dragons, to the small screen.
This project is different to Rawson Marshall Thurber now collapsed project at Paramount+ and has no connection to Paramount’s Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.
Netflix are looking to launch a Dungeons & Dragons universe and Forgotten Realms brand already has a massive lore to pull from, with not only gaming material but also a large amount os novels, comics, and video games to pull from.
