Nathan Fillion, who will feature as Green Lantern Guy Gardner in the upcoming Superman, will reprise the role on HBO’s Lanterns series.
The currently in production Lanterns will star Kyle Chandler as veteran Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, with Aaron Pierre playing new recruit John Stewart. The logline says that the show will see “two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, Earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.”
The show is being co-writing and executive produced by Chris Mundy (Ozark), Damon Lindelof (Watchmen, Lost) and comics writer Tom King., with Mundy serving as showrunner.
Jason Ritter, Kelly Macdonald, Poorna Jagannathan and Ulrich Thomsen will also star on the show which currently doesn’t have a release date.
