During their Cinemacon presentation, Sony announced that the fourth Tom Holland Spidey film will be called Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings) has a release date of 31t July, 2026.
Holland, who appeared via video, described the film as a “fresh start”, while Cretton, who appeared in person, said the film will be “a ride that we haven’t really seen before.”
Brand New Day was the title of a Spider-Man comic book run from 2008 that explored the aftermath of everyone forgetting who Spider-Man was. This is fitting as this was the situation that Peter Parker was left with at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The new film will be written by Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna, who also wrote No Way Home.
