Amazon MGM Studios are moving forward with a sequel to 2024’s Road House remake with Guy Ritchie attached to direct.
Jake Gyllenhaal will return as Dalton, the ex-UFC fighter who takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys bar, and will also produce. Will Beall (Aquaman, Bad Boys: Ride Or Die) is on scripting duties.
The first film, directed by Doug Liman, was a massive streaming success for Prime Video but Liman fell out with the studio over a lack of theatrical release.
Road House 2 will be Ritchie’s third film with Gyllenhaal, with the pair having previously worked together on the acclaimed The Covenant and the up coming In The Grey.
