Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios have announced that they are working on a Mister Miracle animated series based on Tom King and Mitch Gerads’ acclaimed comic book run. King is also attached as showrunner and executive producer of the show.

Something has gone horribly wrong with the perfect life that Scott and his warrior wife Big Barda have built for themselves on Earth. With war raging between their home worlds of Apocalypse and New Genesis, Scott’s cruel adoptive father Darkseid seems to have finally captured the Anti-Life Equation – the ultimate weapon that will give Darkseid total dominance over the universe.

The show will be King’s second story to be adapted to be part of James Gunn’s DCU, the first being next year’s Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow. King, who is part of the DCU creative team, also co-created the upcoming Lanterns show and had previously been developing a New Gods film with Ava DuVernay but that project is now defunct.
Mister Miracle will be DC Studios second animated series set within the DCU. It follows Creature Commandos which currently has a second season in production.
No voice cast has been announced.
