Callum Vinson, who featured in the third season of Chucky, has won the role of the child version of Jason Voorhees in A24’s Crystal Lake series, a prequel to the Friday The 13th films. He’s one of five actors who have joined the cast in recurring roles, along with Nick Cordileone, Joy Suprano, Danielle Kotch and Phoenix Parnevik.
Vinson joins the already announced Linda Cardellini, who is set to play Jason’s mother Pamela, the killer from the original film. Other series regulars include William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins and Gwendolyn Sundstrom, playing characters named Levon Brooks, Briana Brooks, Dorf and Grace.
The series was created by Brad Caleb Kane, who also serves writer, showrunner, and executive producer. Victor Miller, Michael Lennox, Marc Toberoff, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P. Barsamian, Stuart Manashil, and Tyson Bidner executive produce.
