Mark Ruffalo has been added to the cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. He will reprise his role of Bruce Banner/Hulk, last seen in the She-Hulk series. Ruffalo has been in the role since 2012’s The Avengers.
The film will also see the return of Michael Mando reprising the role of the Scorpion, the villain he first played in Spider-Man: Homecoming, the first Tom Holland Spidey film.
It has already been announced that the film will also feature Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, making his big screen debut.
No details about the plot have been released but, if the film follows the pattern of the previous three, the Hulk will most likely fill the slot of mentor. The first film had Iron Man, the second Nick Fury, and the third had Doctor Strange in this capacity.
Destin Daniel Cretton will be directing the film from a script by regular Spider-Man scribes Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Spider- Man: Brand New Day has a release date of 31st July, 2026.
