Amazon have confirmed that Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight will be on scripting duties for Denis Villeneuve’s Bond film.
The two are currently developing the film, which will be the first official 007 adventure without the involvement of the Broccoli family, and it is due to be Villeneuve’s next film once he has completed Dune Part Three.
Knight has spoken to the BBC about the project.
It has always been on my bucket list and it’s fantastic to be invited to do it – I can’t wait to get started.
I’m hoping that, being a Bond fan for so many years, it will be imbued into me and I will be able to produce something that’s the same but different, and better, stronger and bolder.

No release date has been announced for the film but 2028 would seem to be the earliest.
