Shawn Levy has found the villain for his Star Wars film in the form of Matt Smith.
The former Doctor Who star had previously been report to star in The Rise Of Skywalker and was rumoured to have shot scenes but his role never materialised.
Levy is currently prepping Star Wars: Starfighter, which is set to star Ryan Gosling and Mia Goth, to begin shooting before the end of the year. The story will take place five years after Episode IX and will stand alone from the other films.
Smith’s role is reported to be one of a number of villains in the film.
Starfighter will be released on 28th May, 2027, as part of Star Wars‘ 50th anniversary celebrations.
