Millennium Media have lined up Noah Centineo (The Recruit) to step into Sylvester Stallone’s shoes and play the lead in the Rambo prequel John Rambo. Sisu director Jalmari Helander is attached to helm the new film.
No story details have been released but thr film is thought to follow Rambo’s adventures during the Vietnam War. The plan is to shoot in Thailand early next year.
Stallone played the character, created by David Morell in his novel First Blood, across five films between 1982 and 2019. He isn’t involved with the new film but has been made aware of it and Centineo’s involvement.
Noah Centineo will next be seen as Ken in Street Fighter, a new adaptation of the video game, which will be released next year.
